Position: Warehouse Logistics Associate

Job Summary

The MI Warehouse Logistics Associate is responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock and other.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the unloading of inbound freight using appropriate equipment

  • Assist in the loading of outbound freight using appropriate equipment

  • Handle all freight carefully, and put away appropriately

  • Work with facilities lead to tag and label inventory locations

  • Assist with wrapping and packing inventory in accordance with relevant procedures and standards

  • Assist with the handling of impaired or damaged inventory

  • Assist pickers in gaining access to necessary inventory needed to fulfill orders (i.e, via forklift, scissor lift)

  • Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs to manage product locations

  • Preventing on-the-job injuries by maintaining safety best practices across all areas of the operation

  • Participating in maintenance activities to contribute to a safe and efficient working environment (i.e. trash on the ground, and removing empty boxes from shelves)

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Forklift Operation Certification will be considered an advantage

  • Hands on experience with inventory and logistics software programs

  • Team player

  • Good organizational and time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Problem solver

  • Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • No or very limited physical effort required

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 55 lbs. on a frequent basis 6 inches off Ground to Waist

  • Lift up to 30 lbs. on an occasional basis Waist to Shoulder

  • Carry up to 55 lbs. on an occasional basis up to 10 feet

  • Carry up to 55 lbs. on an occasional basis up 2 stairs

  • Frequent walking, bending, stooping; occasional sitting; continuous standing
