What IS Scanner Application?
Scanner Applications, Inc. works with consumer packaged goods manufacturers and with retailers to execute efficient and effective trade promotions. Scanner Applications works within the $60 billion + trade promotion arena providing a system that allows manufactures to repackage dollars spent on the inefficient practices of non-performance, forward-buy and diversion... and to reallocate those savings to performing retailers.The idea is simple, rather than allocating trade promotion spending on what retailers purchase; reward them for what they actually sell to consumers.

How does it work?
Promote with a retail price reduction, any of the products on Scanner Application Promotion during the required number of weeks for the time period required, and Scanner Application will reimburse you for that reduction (up to the reimbursement amount specified) for all units sold.
What data is needed to qualify?
After your promotion, Scanner Applications will need you to send sales data (nothing handwritten) in the easiest manner for you Scanner Applications will endeavor to work with the data you provide. Specifically you will need to send:- Number of units sold to end consumers during your promotion period via a dated scan report.
- Promoted retail price of selected UPC's for your promotion period.
- Regular retail price of the selected UPC's
It's THAT simple!
How do stores get paid?
Submit the documentation to Scanner Applications, Inc. within 45 days of your promotion's end, and Scanner Applications will mail a check to you, typically within 5 business days from receipt of your complete data. You will be paid via direct check or ACH electronic payment for your performance on this event. All deductions will be considered invalid. Do not deduct from any MI invoice.
What about stores that don't scan?
Retailers who cannot provide scanner data may be eligible to execute through alternative options. To see if you qualify, please call Scanner Applications at 800-756-5353 and ask for Retail Services Department.

Are there other requirements?
Yes. In order to qualify, you must buy a quantity of the promoted item(s) for this promotion which is at least equal to the number of units you have claimed for payment. Your submission of data to Scanner Applications confirms the right of Scanner Applications, Inc., or its designated representatives or agents, to audit your purchases and/or POS transaction records on reasonable notice to confirm the accuracy of the information submitted. Incomplete or irregular data may result in delay or denial of payment. A complete copy of the redemption policy is available at http://www.scanapps.com/redemptionpolicy.html If you would like to be paid via electronic check (ACH), please fill out the ACH payment form at www.scanapps.com/ach Many of the products promoted are available from Merchandise Inc. Contact UsNote: Unless otherwise stated on the promotion, retailers may not submit multiple claims on programs for the same UPC's during the same time period.
How do stores sign up for this program?
That's easy! Just send an email to CustomerService@Merchandiseinc.com and mention Scanner Applications. You will automatically be sent all Scanner Application promotions available to you via email. You choose which ones work for you!
